The Early Years: What Is That Thing?

Posted by Dennis the Vizsla on April 12, 2009

Today we have another example of “Why Jim didn’t draw his own comic book panels”, in the form of what appears to be a home-made folder cover from the early or mid 1970s:

Evidently this folder was for “math and Redding”.  I’m not sure why we were studying Redding, but there must have been a reason.

I have no idea what this is supposed to be a picture of.  Flowers?  Nuclear war?  Easter eggs?  A scary alien with two mouths?  Eh, it’s probably just random psychedelia.  After all, it was the 1970s.  In any case, ooh, pretty colors!

Also, in addition to last week’s Zombie Chicken Award (which was handled by Dennis in exchange for a new stuffie), I recently received the “Fabulous Blog” award.  I’m letting Dennis handle this one too as he really enjoys doing the Sunday Awards and Meme Show; besides, he already has all the sets and equipment for it.

WOW that’s familiar…I think I may have crayoned a book cover and folded it into two and then ‘elaborated’ the scene I saw in it. I like the googly eyes! 8)
