I enjoyed it too, I think it was a very original take on the vampire story, and in fact a very visual one. I could see it as a 'Twilight Zone' episode!

Good story. The editors obviously read it, to have given such a detailed response, but I don't agree with them at all. It was very clear to me what was going on. Also, had I been one of those editors, I would have given you bonus points for the use of the too-oft-neglected word "verdant." It made me go "Ooooh!"

Eek! Don't let Dennis read this, or he might not sleep for a week!

Very intriguing. It was cheap to complain you'd used a "real" Hollywood actress. Anne was the character, and Marilyn Monroe merely one of her incarnations. I think you make that perfectly clear! (Harumph.)

That was a great little story. I was not confused about the time line, I mean I did not know exactly what year but most certainly knew that she was Marilyn from the past.
I was no confused about who was the vampire as it was all explained in dur process and the sewer scene was no longer than it should have been, it was to set up how we knew to pull him into the water.
The letter is really well written though and nice :)

I always got good letters from Design Image Group. Obviously, though, a letter of this length is very much the exception to the rule!

What an excellent rejection letter. I love that they told you exactly why they made the decision they did. Very nice.
